Warped Outlook
09/15/2001
Currently Warped Outlook is going through some changes  and has not been able to  play together .  We are looking foward to a reunion tour in the near future.
Below is the brief history and photos below.

< Gateway was born in a barn,  we were born in a saloon just south of Yankton , South Dakota!

On May 5th 2001 after a two hour jam session at my house Micah, Lynnette and my self got the idea to find some where to play.  After calling around and panning out zilch, we decided to just pack up our gear and head out to the Lazy D since we could not find the phone number any where to save our souls. After talking to Rosie a bit she and Larry let us set up and play for awhile. "Don't Rock the Jukebox was born"!  We had to shut down after what seemed to be a brief spell of some really great jamming.  People even started dancing. To quote Rosie "you sound great but it is just too loud"!  Micah was just a bit too rambunctious on my Stratacaster I guess!
We then got together a week or so later  with the third member of the trio Jay on the patio at Dave's@TheKelly Inn opening up for a band called Shattered Silence. The next gig was down at Riverside park in Yankton at the first Music in the park joined by James Dean and Shawn Coles for a rock'n good time. Then another music in the park with Jay, his brother Kevin on congas and my self a week or so later.
On June 9th Micah presented us with a new name for the band, "Warped Outlook".  We unanimously agreed to the change and followed it up with four hours of vigorous jamming. It was great.
We would like to thank all of you who have supported us thus far both up front and behind the scenes without which this project would not be possible. A special thanks to Jay Gilbertson down at the Tuesday night open mics at the Upper Deck for giving us a platform to cut our teeth over the past year or so. Dave at the Kelly in for letting us set up sight unseen.  We are looking foward to continuing to play around the area with more music in the parks and who knows a real paying job too.  There is plenty of summer left!
